There are a lot of Filipinos in the country who are members of Pag-IBIG Fund, a government agency that is mainly popular for its Housing Loan offer. Meanwhile, through the years, the services and loan offers of the government agency has continually expanded.
The Pag-IBIG Fund is now an entity that its members can turn to in times of calamities and pandemic. It has crafted a loan offer that could assist the members may apply for in times of natural disaster – the Calamity Loan or also referred to as the Pag-IBIG Emergency Loan.
How to apply for the Pag-IBIG Emergency Loan / Calamity Loan

Step 2 – Prepare the documents needed in applying for the loan offer. If you are locally employed, you must prepare and submit these requirements for Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan offer:
- original copy of a duly-accomplished and signed Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan Application Form
- photocopy of a valid ID acceptable to the Fund
- proof of income
- The “Certificate of Net Pay” which is located at the back of the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan Application Form must have been accomplished by your employer. Otherwise, you can submit a photocopy of one (1) of your latest payslip authenticated by an authorized signatory of the company you are working at.
For self-employed borrowers of the calamity loan offer, the following documents will be needed:
- original copy of a duly-accomplished and signed Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan Application Form
- photocopy of a valid ID acceptable to the Fund
- proof of income – submit any of the following:
- Certified True Copy of Transport Franchise issued by appropriate government agency (in original copy)
- notarized Affidavit of Income (HQP-SLF-136) (in original copy)
- Commission Vouchers reflecting the issuer’s name and contact details (in original copy)
- Income Tax Return (ITR), Audited Financial Statements, and Official Receipt of tax payment from bank supported with DTI Registrant and Mayor’s Permit/Business Permit (in photocopy)
- Certificate of Engagement issued by the owner of business (in original copy)
- Bank Statements or passbook for the last 12 months (in original copy)
Step 3 – Submit your documents. The loan processing may take a few working days. The Pag-IBIG Fund notifies the borrowers about the results of the loan application.
