PAG-IBIG MULTI-PURPOSE LOAN REQUIREMENTS 2025 – Here are the documents that OFW or overseas Filipino worker members of the Fund must comply to apply.
A membership to the Pag-IBIG Fund can be one of the best decisions you can ever make even if you are working abroad and earning a lot of money in foreign currencies. There is a huge advantage in having access to the offers of the loan-providing entities in these unpredictable times.
Many overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) have realized the value of maintaining active memberships to state entities like the Social Security System (SSS) and the Pag-IBIG Fund. In the case of the latter, there are multiple loans that are up for Pag-IBIG Fund members with qualified accounts.
One of the loan offers for the members is the Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan. Also called MPL, it is a cash loan offer that was designed to help provide for the short-term financial needs of the members.
Through the Multi-Purpose Loan offer, the Pag-IBIG Fund aims to help its members in its cash needs whether it is for a car repair, a travel, an event, a business expansion, etc. The maximum loanable amount is up to 80% of the total regular savings of the member-borrower.
The loan is payable for up to 36 months. Who are qualified to apply for the loan offer? The loan is open for locally-salaried and non-salaried members as well as OFW members. The Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan requirements includes qualifications which are as follows:
- in active membership by having at least one (1) monthly membership savings within the last six (6) months prior to the date of loan application
- at least twenty-four (24) monthly membership savings under the Pag-IBIG Regular Savings program
- has no Pag-IBIG Housing Loan, MPL and/or Calamity Loan in default
- reliable source of income
With regards to the documents that are required in applying for the loan offer, here are the general Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan requirements for application:
- duly-accomplished and signed Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan Application Form
- photocopy of one (1) valid ID such as the following:
- passport
- Driver’s License
- National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance
- Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) ID
- Police Clearance
- Voter’s ID
- Postal ID
- Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) e-Card
- Senior Citizen Card
- Barangay Certification or Barangay IDs
- Social Security System (SSS) Card
- Overseas Filipino Worker ID
- Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) ID
- Alien Certification of Registration/Immigrant Certificate of Registration
- Certification from the National Council for the Welfare of Disabled Persons (NCWDP)
- Seaman’s Book or Seafarer’s Identification and Record Book (SIRB)
- Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Certification
- Government Office and GOCC ID
- Integrated Bar of the Philippines ID
- Company ID
- Philippine Identification (PhilID) Card
- Employment Contract
- photocopy of the Employment Contract between the employee and employer or original copy of the POEA Standard Contract
- Certificate of Employment and Compensation (CEC)
- CEC written on the Employer; or
- CEC signed by employer supported by a photocopy of the ID and passport of the employer
- Original copy of Income Tax Return filed with Host Government or Country
