PAG-IBIG EMERGENCY LOAN REQUIREMENTS 2025 – Self-employed members hit by a calamity should prepare these documents for the loan application.

The Philippines was hit by a series of calamities that brought countless houses down and flushed away the source of living of countless Filipino families. Recently, the country was hit by typhoon “Tino” and super typhoon “Uwan”.

Typhoon Tino brought massive flooding in several cities in Cebu and Negros. Unfortunately, it did not only cause flooding but the flash flood cost at least 200 lives already. Following the wrath of the typhoon and the then-upcoming looming super typhoon, President Bongbong Marcos declared a national state of calamity.

With the entire country being under a state of calamity, the typhoon and flood victims may turn to calamity loan offers. Aside from the SSS Calamity Loan Program or the CLP, if you are a member of the Pag-IBIG Fund, you may also turn to the Calamity Loan or Emergency Loan offer.

The Pag-IBIG Fund is one of the state entities with millions of members across the nation. Its membership is open for both employed and self-employed individuals. Both government workers and individuals who are employed in the private sector may apply for membership to the Fund.

Aside from the Pag-IBIG cash loan offer or the Multi-Purpose Loan, in times of disaster, members of the Fund may turn to the Calamity Loan. It is open for both employed and self-employed members of the state entity.

If you are a self-employed member of the Fund, before checking on the Pag-IBIG Emergency Loan requirements for application, it is important to ensure the qualifications. The Fund requires the member to have posted at least 24 monthly contributions in their Pag-IBIG Regular Savings account to qualify for the loan offer.

Here are the Pag-IBIG Emergency Loan requirements for application for self-employed members of the Fund:

  • duly-accomplished and signed Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan Application Form
  • one (1) photocopy of valid ID acceptable to the Fund
  • proof of income (any of the following):
    • one (1) photocopy each of the ITR, Audited Financial Statements, and Official Receipt of tax payment from bank supported with DTI Registrant and Mayor’s Permit/Business Permit
    • one (1) original copy of the Commission Vouchers reflecting the issuer’s name and contact details
    • one (1) original copy of the Bank Statements or passbook for the last 12 months
    • one (1) original copy of the Certified True Copy of Transport Franchise issued by appropriate government agency
    • one (1) original copy of the Certificate of Engagement issued by the owner of business
    • one (1) original copy of Notarized Affidavit of Income (HQP-SLF-136)

Is an authorize representative filing the loan application for you? It is allowed by the Pag-IBIG Fund provided that the following additional Pag-IBIG Emergency Loan requirements are met:

  • Authorization Letter
  • one (1) photocopy of a valid ID of the representative

The Fund has also set specific additional Pag-IBIG Emergency Loan requirements in cases like an El Niño phenomenon. Here’s a guide on the documents required under specific situations:

  • Certification from the Municipal Agricultural Office (MAO) that their products were affected by the calamity
  • Certification from the Market Vendors Association or certification from the Municipal Mayor attesting that he is engaged in the selling of farm products, vegetable, meat, fish, and that his source of livelihood was affected by the calamity
  • Medical Certificate from the Doctor stating that such diseases/illness brought by the onset of calamity

Aside from the Emergency Loan offer, the Fund also has the Pag-IBIG Cash Loan.
