PAG-IBIG MULTI-PURPOSE LOAN REQUIREMENTS 2026 – For overseas Filipino worker (OFW) members of the Fund, here are the documents that are required for the loan application.
Becoming a member of the Pag-IBIG Fund can be one of the smartest financial moves you can make — even if you’re working abroad and earning in foreign currencies. Nowadays, the time is unpredictable and having an access to the loan programs that the Fund offers a significant advantage.

Fortunately, a lot of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) recognize the importance of keeping their memberships active with state institutions such as the Social Security System (SSS) and the Pag-IBIG Fund. For members of the Pag-IBIG Fund who have qualified accounts, there is a wide range of Pag-IBIG loans tailored to different financial needs.
One of the loan programs available to Pag-IBIG Fund members is the Multi-Purpose Loan or also called MPL. This cash loan is designed to help members meet their short-term financial needs, offering flexible support in different kinds of situation.

Through the Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan, the Fund wants to support members with their cash needs — may it be for car repairs, travel, events, business expansion, or other expenses. Eligible borrowers may take out a loan of up to 80% of their total regular savings.
The Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan is payable for up to three (3) years. Who can apply for this program? It is open to locally employed and self-employed members, as well as overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). To qualify for the loan offer, applicants must meet the Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan requirements which includes specific membership and contribution requirements set by the Fund:
- in active membership by having at least one (1) monthly membership savings within the last six (6) months prior to the date of loan application
- at least twenty-four (24) monthly membership savings under the Pag-IBIG Regular Savings program
- has no Pag-IBIG Housing Loan, MPL and/or Calamity Loan in default
- reliable source of income

- duly-accomplished and signed Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan Application Form
- photocopy of one (1) valid ID such as the following:
- passport
- Driver’s License
- National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance
- Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) ID
- Police Clearance
- Voter’s ID
- Postal ID
- Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) e-Card
- Senior Citizen Card
- Barangay Certification or Barangay IDs
- Social Security System (SSS) Card
- Overseas Filipino Worker ID
- Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) ID
- Alien Certification of Registration/Immigrant Certificate of Registration
- Certification from the National Council for the Welfare of Disabled Persons (NCWDP)
- Seaman’s Book or Seafarer’s Identification and Record Book (SIRB)
- Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Certification
- Government Office and GOCC ID
- Integrated Bar of the Philippines ID
- Company ID
- Philippine Identification (PhilID) Card
- Employment Contract
- photocopy of the Employment Contract between the employee and employer or original copy of the POEA Standard Contract
- Certificate of Employment and Compensation (CEC)
- CEC written on the Employer; or
- CEC signed by employer supported by a photocopy of the ID and passport of the employer
- Original copy of Income Tax Return filed with Host Government or Country
