Jollibee Corp Speaks on New Work Setup for Office-Based Employees
JOLLIBEE CORP – The company implemented a hybrid work setup for the employees of its fast-food chains who are office-based.
One of the biggest food business companies in the Philippines is the Jollibee Foods Corporation. It is the firm behind several of the most popular fast-food chains in the country including Jollibee, Chowking, Mang Inasal, Red Ribbon, Greenwich, and Burger King.
Considering its scope, Jollibee Corp is also one of the most-challenged companies amid the COVID-19 pandemic. It is undeniable that the pandemic closed a lot of businesses that were not able to cope with its demands. Businesses had to limit their operations and non-essential ones were not allowed to operate during some instances.
In the case of the fast-food chains under Jollibee Corporation, they adapted remote work for some employees. The said setup kept going for at least two (2) years amid the pandemic.
Recently, the restrictions in the country eased and business operations are almost back to normal. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Jollibee Corp employees who were previously under a remote work setup are now back in the office but under a hybrid work setup.
According to the report, under the hybrid work setup, the employees are working on site for two (2) days and they are under a remote setup for the other working days of the week. The said setup covers the employees of Jollibee, Red Ribbon, Chowking, Burger King, Mang Inasal, Panda Express, PHO24, support functions, and Jollibee Group Foundation.
According to Jollibee Group Chief Human Resources Officer Arsenio Sabado, the health and safety of their employees come at the top of their priority list thus they implement the said work setup. Aside from the hybrid work setup, there is also a no-meeting policy on Fridays between 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. so the employees can focus on their work.
