BDO Loans of “Qualified Clients” May Avail 60-Day Loan Moratorium
BDO LOANS – Clients of BDO Unibank who are qualified may avail the 60-day loan grace period in compliance with Bayanihan 2.
The Philippines is undeniably hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, it is one of the top 20 countries and territories with the highest cases of the coronavirus disease.
To curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country, community quarantine measures were implemented and they are up for several months now. Unfortunately, many businesses were not able to thrive with the demands of the pandemic.
Several businesses had no operation and income for months and they continue to pay for the expenses. Many business owners have decided to close their businesses.
The closure of many businesses further led to many employees losing their jobs. Some of them unfortunately have existing loans to pay.
To help the people in the fight against the pandemic, the government approved the Republic Act No. 11494 or the Bayanihan 2. It includes a 60-day loan moratorium.
Qualified clients of BDO loans may apply for the 60-day loan grace period as announced by BDO Unibank in compliance with the Bayanihan 2. The due dates covered are between September 15 to December 31.
According to BDO Unibank, it will continue to collect from clients who have made an Automatic Debit Arrangement (ADA) with the bank about their BDO loans thus a client must apply for the loan moratorium offer if he or she wants to avail it.
