In franchising a lotto outlet, there is a set of standards that must be complied with regards to the interior and exterior of the lotto booth or outlet. Showing compliance to the set of standards set by the lotto-operating body is part of the application process for franchise.
The application for franchise to operate an authorized lotto outlet is open for individual, partnership, and corporation applications.
After you have received a Notice of Approval from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, the next step will be the presentation of the compliance to the PCSO lotto outlet franchise requirements for the interior and exterior of the booth.
Post-Approval Requirements for PCSO Lotto Booth / Outlet
Franchise applicants are given 15 days to submit photos proving the compliance to the set of standards set by the PCSO for the interior and exterior of the constructed lotto booth/outlet.
Here are the PCSO Lotto Outlet Franchise requirements for the interior and exterior of the outlet:
- dry floor space with proper ventilation
- floor space is at least 2m x 2m. Business counters measuring at least 36” x 24”
- with at least one (1) wireless, fixed landline telephone OR cellphone for hotline operation use
- must be enclosed and must be facing the direction of human traffic/entry
- frontage must face the main hallway/corridor or to the direction of major traffic flow
- outlets located within a commercial building or complexes, with 24-hour security, Lotto/Keno booths need not be enclosed
- one (1) set of Personal Computer with a minimum 21-inch colored LED/LCD monitor to display drawing of on-line winning numbers
Along with the phase of the submission of the photos showing compliance to the interior and exterior standards set by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office is the payment of the installation fee. The PCSO has set the Installation Fee at Php 10,000.
After submitting the photos and paying for the Installation Fee, you must post a cash bond or file the surety bond to the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) depending on which the PCSO requires of you.
