MANNY VILLAR – The business giant and former Senator is the richest Filipino in Forbes List of 50 Wealthiest People in the Philippines.
Every year, Forbes releases lists of the wealthiest individuals in the different countries across the globe. For several years now, the name of former Senator and business giant Manuel Villar remain on the list of the richest people in the Philippines.

Manuel Villar or more popularly known as Manny Villar, aside from being a business giant, has also been part of the Philippine government. He is a former senator and has ran for the presidency in 2010 but lost to the late former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

Since his presidential loss, Villar stepped out from the government and focused on his businesses and investments. His wife, Cynthia Villar, is one of the incumbent senators in the upper chamber but she is already serving her last term as a lawmaker in the Senate. She is running for congresswoman of Las Piñas City in the upcoming May 2025 Elections.
