Oil Price Rollback Set on Tuesday, May 31

OIL PRICE ROLLBACK – Several fuel stations announced a decrease in the prices of oil products effective Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

The high prices of oil products are among the problems faced by many Filipinos now. Since January, there were significant increases in pump prices which affected the source of living and the income of many people. Among those who were greatly affected by the series of oil price hikes are the public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers.

Drivers of jeepneys, tricycles, taxis, and other PUVs appealed to the government that they can hardly bring home a good amount that can cope with the needs of their families. The increase in the prices of fuel has dragged their income down.

Many businesses also suffered from the increase in the prices of oil products. There are products and services that use oil.

Oil Price Rollback

To help the drivers, farmers, and fisherfolks amid the challenging situation due to the high prices of fuel, the government released fuel subsidies and vouchers. However, according to some drivers, they need long-term solutions.

There are events of oil price rollback but many people stress that the decrease in the prices is usually between Php 1.00 to Php 2.00 but there were oil price hikes that went above Php 4.00. Several other countries across the globe are facing problems with oil as the supply is limited compared with the huge demand.

Recently, several fuel stations confirmed an oil price rollback effective Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the following are the expected decrease in the prices of oil tomorrow:

Shell

  • Gasoline – Php 1.70 per liter
  • Kerosene – Php 2.45 per liter
  • Diesel – Php 1.20 per liter

Caltex

  • Gasoline – Php 1.70 per liter
  • Kerosene – Php 1.20 per liter
  • Diesel – Php 2.45 per liter

Petro Gazz

  • Gasoline – Php 1.20 per liter
  • Kerosene – Php 1.70 per liter

SEAOIL

  • Gasoline – Php 1.70 per liter
  • Kerosene – Php 1.20 per liter
  • Diesel – Php 2.45 per liter

CleanFuel

  • Gasoline – Php 1.20 per liter
  • Kerosene – Php 1.70 per liter
