Landbank Closes Some Branches, Operational Branches on Shortened Hours

Update on Landbank Operating Schedule amid the COVID-19 Surge in PH

LANDBANK – The Land Bank of the Philippines temporarily closes some of its branches while its operational branches are on shortened hours.

Following the holiday season, the COVID-19 cases in the Philippines are experiencing another surge. There is an increase in the daily records of several cities in Metro Manila. In fact, even cities outside the capital region start to note a spike in their daily COVID-19 cases.

The increase prompted the national government to implement stricter measures to fight the spread of COVID-19. The surge came along with the threat posed by the possible spread of the Omicron variant. First logged in South Africa, it was reported to be a “heavily mutated” version of the virus.

To fight the spread of COVID-19 and prevent the Omicron variant from making a wave, Metro Manila was placed under Alert Level 3 until January 15, 2022. There are changes in the operation of several establishments and companies as well.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Landbank of the Philippines even temporarily closed some of its branches amid the rise in the COVID-19 cases in the country. The government bank also shortened the banking hours of its operational branches.

According to the report, most of the operational branches of Landbank open at 8:30 in the morning and close at 2:00 p.m. You may check on the official website of the bank for its services – https://www.landbank.com/.

The Alert Level 3 is set to remain in Metro Manila until Saturday but there is a possibility of escalating it to Alert Level 4 if the cases continue to increase according to the Department of Health (DOH). The Palace also spoke on the same possibility in pursuit to fight the spread of the virus that might shut down the healthcare system if not managed well.
