SSS HOUSING LOAN REQUIREMENTS 2025 – For locally-employed members of the Social Security System, here’s a guide on the application.
In the Philippines, one of the most popular state entities is the Social Security System or more popularly known as the SSS. Millions of Filipinos not only Pinoys residing in the country but as well as abroad are members of the social insurance giant.

It is no secret to the public that an SSS membership can widen the financial options of a member. It has several benefit offers for the members as well as loans. Aside from the SSS Calamity Loan offer, the social insurance giant has a Housing Loan offer, too. However, undeniably, this loan is not as popular as its other offers.

The SSS Housing Loan offer is exclusive for the purpose of financing minor and major house repairs and improvements. You may apply for it to finance the repair of dilapidated and structurally unsafe housing units, installation of deep well and motor pump, construction of concrete fence and steel gate, etc.

Who are qualified to apply for the offer? The SSS Housing Loan requirements include both the qualifications of the member-borrower as well as the documents that need to be submitted. The loan offer is open for employed and self-employed members of the state entity.

- duly-accomplished SSS Housing Loan Application Form for Direct House Repair and/or Improvement Loan (2 copies)
- SS ID Cards of the principal applicant and his/her spouse, if applicable
- latest Income Tax Return (original and photocopy for authentication)
- Certification of Employment and Compensation duly signed by the employer’s SSS authorized signatory (original copy

The SSS Housing Loan requirements do not only include personal documents of the member-borrower but as well as documents pertaining to the property that will be repaired and/or improved. Here are the collateral requirements set by SSS:
- Building or Renovation Permit issued/approved by the Building Official with Locational Clearance, Electrical Permit, Sanitary/Plumbing Permit and corresponding official receipts of payments (original and one (1) photocopy

- vicinity map w/ landmarks, street pattern, street names and lot distance as reckoned/based from the lot to the nearest street intersection (2 copies)
- Consolidation-subdivision plan approved by the Land Registration Authority or Bureau of Lands/DENR-NCR (15” x 20” size; primary document) (1 copy)
- complete set of building plan
- specifications and Bill of Materials & Labor must be signed & sealed by a licensed civil engineer or architect with owner’s conformity
- scope of Works showing list/itemized works to be done according to priority, prepared and signed by owner, civil engineer or architect. (original and one (1) photocopy)
- pictures of existing collateral; the existing house and lot
- 1st – Front and one side
- 2nd – Rear and other side
- 3rd – Kitchen counter
- 4th – Toilet and Bath Pictures
The SSS loan offer is open to finance the improvement or repair of condominium units owned by eligible member-borrowers. However, it is important to prepare the following SSS Housing Loan requirements if your space is a condo unit:
- Floor plan of the specific condominium unit, scaled with size dimensions (20” x 30” size, blue/whiteprint copy) signed & sealed by licensed architect or civil engineer
- First page of the condominium building plans showing the site development plan, vicinity map, etc., as approved by the Building Official
- Architectural Plans showing the plan of the specific floor where the unit is located; Floor plan should be scaled with size dimensions
