List of Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan Requirements for Application Process
REQUIREMENTS FOR PAG-IBIG CALAMITY LOAN 2025 – If you are an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) member who want to apply, here’s a guide on the documents that you need to prepare for the application process.
The impact of calamities may never be accurately predicted. Also, no one is exempted from these natural disasters, thus, it is not a rare case if people who are working abroad may need an access to some funds for recovery from the effects of a calamity.

With the Philippines being prone to natural disasters, it is undeniably a wise move to maintain an active membership to state entities that provide calamity loans. Among them are the Social Security System, the Government Service Insurance System, and the Pag-IBIG Fund.

While the Government Service Insurance System which has the Emergency Loan offer has its membership open for government officials and the Social Security System which has the SSS Calamity Loan Program got its membership for employees of the private sector and self-employed individuals, the Pag-IBIG Fund membership is open to people coming from the different walks of life including OFWs.

The Fund has several loan offers for its members. Aside from the Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan which is cash loan offer that is ready to meet several purposes, the state entity has a specific loan for the members living in areas hit by a natural disaster — the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan.
Before checking the documentary requirements for the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan application, it is important to know that the offer is up for members who have posted at least 24 monthly contributions in their Pag-IBIG Regular Savings account.
There is a unique set of requirements for the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan application for OFW members who want to apply for the offer. Here’s a guide on the documents that OFW members should prepare and submit for application:
- duly-accomplished and signed Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan Application Form
- one (1) photocopy of valid ID acceptable to the Fund
- proof of income (any of the following):
- Employment Contract
- Employment Contract between employee and employer (1 Photocopy); or
- POEA Standard Contract (1 Original)
- Certificate of Employment and Compensation (CEC)
- CEC written on the Employer/Company’s official letterhead (1 Original); or
- CEC signed by employer (for household staff and similarly situated employees) (1 Original), supported by a photocopy of the employer’s ID and passport
- Income Tax Return filed with Host Country/Government (1 Original)
- Employment Contract
The filing of application may be done by an authorized representative of the member-borrower. In this case, here are the additional requirements for the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan application:
- Authorization Letter
- one (1) photocopy of a valid ID of the representative
With regards to El Niño phenomenon, there are additional Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan requirements that a member-borrower should prepare and submit to the Fund. Here’s a guide:
For farmers, including landlords, fisher folks, and livestock farmers
- Certification from the Municipal Agricultural Office (MAO) that their products were affected by the calamity
For business owners/market vendors
- Certification from the Market Vendors Association or certification from the Municipal Mayor attesting that he is engaged in the selling of farm products, vegetable, meat, fish, and that his source of livelihood was affected by the calamity
For Pag-IBIG Members or any of his immediate family members afflicted by diseases
- Medical Certificate from the Doctor stating that such diseases/illness brought by the onset of calamity
