Amid the COVID-19 pandemic now, many households have allotted a part of the budget for health essentials. The National Capital Region (NCR) and four of its neighboring provinces were previously under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and Shopee wants to give discounted prices on essentials amid the strict quarantine measures.
According to the report, Shopee also recorded up to 6x growth in terms of items sold compared to a regular day. Aside from the health essentials, there were also lots of purchases of home and living products, beauty and personal care items, and mobile accessories.
