PAG-IBIG HOME LOAN – The Pag-IBIG Fund reported that it has released over P100 billion for the home loans in 2021.

In the Philippines, the government agency that has helped a lot of Filipinos acquire affordable housing options is Pag-IBIG Fund. Many Pinoys working in the public and private sectors are members of the said state-run agency. Some of the members are self-employed individuals.

Pag-IBIG is mainly known for its housing loan offers. Truth be told that many people are not financially ready for a purchase of a residential property. For the year 2021, the total Pag-IBIG home loan released reached more than P100 billion. Based on the statement released by the government agency, its home loans reached P97.28 billion while the loans for the purposes of house construction or renovation reached P3.5 billion.

The said figures bring the total Pag-IBIG home loan releases to P100.8 billion in 2021. It is the highest amount released by the agency. In 2020, the agency has released P63.75 billion while it released P86.74 billion in 2019.

Pag-IBIG Fund tagged its recent release as its “best figure” which is more than its releases during the pre-pandemic years. It takes the high releases as equivalent to more Filipinos acquiring their own residential properties which is an aim of the government agency.
