  • member resides or works in an area declared under a State of Calamity
  • in active service
  • not on a leave of absence without pay
  • has no arrears in the payment of mandatory social insurance contributions
  • has no in-default loan (unpaid for more than 6 months)

To apply for the Emergency Loan offer, here are the documents required by the state entity:

  • UMID Card
  • duly-accomplished GSIS Emergency Loan Application Form

The Government Service Insurance System also a loan offer for the GSIS pensioners. One of the GSIS cash loans is the GSIS Pension Loan that can provide financial solutions for the pensioners in their other needs. Here are the eligibility requirements for application:

  • receiving a monthly pension from the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) for at least a month
  • having no outstanding service loans being amortized under the Choice of Loan Amortization Schedule for Pensioners (CLASP) and/or the GSIS Program of Restructing and Repayment of Debts (PRRD) at the time of filing

With regards to the documents that the GSIS requires, here are the requirements for application:

  • duly-accomplished and signed GSIS Pension Loan Application Form
  • pensioner’s UMID card or any two (2) government-issued identification card bearing the signature of the pensioner and his or her photograph

The Government Service Insurance System also offers an Education Loan. Here are the eligibility requirements set under the offer:

  • at least 15 years in service
  • not on a leave of absence without pay
  • having no pending case
  • having no past due
  • having a net take-home pay of Php 5,000.00 after the deduction of the monthly premium and the loan amortizations

What are the documents required by the GSIS? Here are the documentary requirements set under the loan offer:

  • duly filled-out application form signed by the member-borrower and duly indorsed by his or her agency’s authorized agency officer
  • photocopy of the latest tuition fee assessment form
  • photo copy of school ID (front and back) with three signatures of the student-beneficiary.

To apply for the GSIS cash loans, there are three (3) options that a member may choose from. Here’s a guide:

  • Login to your eGSISMO account (BP number and PW)
  • Click Loans Application icon and choose (Multi-purpose Loan), Loan Type (New or Renewal).
  • Upload a Picture of Member holding UMID / Temporary CARD or 2 Valid Government IDs if UMID / Temporary CARD is lost (as JPEG or PDF File)
  • Confirm Loan Agreement and click SAVE
  • Await email confirmation from GSIS for tentative loan computation
  • Visit a GWAPS Kiosk nearest to you.
  • Place your eCard Plus/UMID in the G-W@PS kiosk card reader. Once the card reader has recognized your thumbmark, personal data will be displayed.
  • Pick the Loan Windows icon and click on Multipurpose Loan. The screen will display the tentative computation of your preferred loan. You may change the loan amount and/or payment term.
  • Place your selected finger on the biometrics scanner to confirm your loan application.
  • Wait for the GSIS email or SMS regarding the result of your loan application.
  • Take a clear photo showing the borrower holding his/her GSIS UMID card
  • Take a clear photo of the 2 valid IDs (front and back)
  • Take a clear photo of the borrower holding the 2 valid ID cards
  • Save the Application Form and photos as JPEG or PDF File
  • Email the documents to your GSIS handling branch
  • Await email confirmation from GSIS for tentative loan computation
