For member-borrowers with at least 20 monthly contributions but less than 10 years of premiums posted in their accounts, the minimum loan term is one (1) year. The maximum loan term is six (6) years.

On the loan term for GSIS member-borrowers who have posted at least 10 years of monthly premiums, the minimum loan term is one (1) year while the maximum loan term is 15 years.

According to the Government Service Insurance System, member-borrowers who are qualified for a 10-year loan term may opt to reduce the payment term between one (1) to nine (9) years.
