The mandatory membership to the Fund also includes the kasambahays; the Land-based and sea-based OFWs; the Filipinos employed by foreign-based employers, whether deployed locally or abroad; the Uniformed personnel (Philippine National Police, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Bureau of Fire Protection, etc.); and the Expats up to 60 years old who are compulsorily covered by the Social Security System (SSS).

With regards to the voluntary memberships to the Pag-IBIG Fund, the membership of the state entity is also open for the non-working spouse of registered Pag-IBIG members, the Filipino employees of a foreign government or international organization, and the employees of employers with a waiver or suspension of coverage by the Pag-IBIG Fund.

Religious group leaders and members, pensioners, investors, and other individuals with passive income or allowances may also apply for a Pag-IBIG membership. To apply for membership, it is important to prepare the Pag-IBIG membership requirements for submission.

Pag-IBIG Membership Requirements

The Pag-IBIG membership requirements vary among the locally-employed and self-employed individuals, professionals, overseas Filipino workers, etc. Here is a guide on the documents required by the Fund:

  • Certificate of Employment & Compensation
  • Latest Payslip
  • Company ID

  • Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) with Financial Statement of the previous year certified by a CPA
  • Certificate of Remittance/ESAV (for old members)
  • Two 1×1 ID pictures
  • SEC or DTI Registration (should be under the member’s name)
  • Business Permit or Mayor’s Permit
  • duly-accomplished Pag-IBIG Fund Membership Form
  • PRC/BAR License
  • Latest ITR (previous year)
  • Certificate of Remittance or ESAV (for old members)
  • Two 1×1 ID pictures
