  1. I’m a seafarer on vacation. My last SSS contribution amounting to 4500 was on December 2023. I signed off last December 18, 2023. I paid my SSS contribution for the month of January 2024 as voluntary member. Yesterday at week I filed for a salary loan but was denied due to the new policy of SSS that I should update my voluntary contribution for at least 6 months. How can I do that? The reason why I applied for the said salary loan because of I’m running out of budget. I always count on SSS years before when I needed emergency funds. But with the new policy it seems impossible for seafarers to avail such program.
