SSS LUMP SUM 2025 – You can check here a guide on how much you may get under the Social Security System’s Retirement Benefit offer.
Many Filipinos are members of the Social Security System. Truth be told that among the many SSS benefits that members may avail, it is the Retirement Benefit that most members look forward to. It is an assurance that you have something to turn to financially when the old age comes.

Everyone may like having a regular pension but not all members may be able to hit the required number of monthly contributions to qualify for a Monthly Pension. Meanwhile, if your total monthly contributions prior to the semester of retirement is less than 120 monthly contributions, you may avail the SSS Lump Sum.

The SSS Lump Sum is a one-time cash benefit paid to a retiring member of the Social Security System who has not met the required 120 monthly contributions. How much you may get under it? It is “equivalent to the total contributions paid by the member or his employer/s including the interest earned”.
Meanwhile, according to the Social Security System, if you really wish to achieve the 120 monthly contributions and avail the SSS Monthly Pension, the state entity allows the members to continue the payment of their premiums as Voluntary Members.

Possibly, your SSS Lump Sum may have some deductions depending on the status of your account. The Social Security System may deduct the following from your money:
- all unpaid short-term member loans of members claiming for retirement benefit, whether or not the term of payment has expired as of contingency date, shall be deducted in full from the proceeds of the benefit payments.

- that the case/complaint resulted in re-instatement of the involuntarily separated employee with payment of backwages; and
- when the employee is rehired or re-employed within the compensable period, or within two (2) months from the date of involuntary separation.
