Home Credit Clients May Avail Grace Period on Credit Card Bills
Home Credit Philippines is offering a 60-day grace period on credit card bills amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Philippines is currently on a national crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although not at the same extent, almost everyone is affected by the crisis.
Some individuals are greatly struggling financially now amid the crisis. Many people lost their jobs as a lot of businesses had to close after not being able to withstand the demands of the pandemic.
The entire country is under community quarantine measures for several months now to curb the spread of the disease. Although businesses are allowed to operate, some only incurred expenses as most people do not go out for non-essentials.
To help the people cope with the demands of the COVID-19 pandemic and the personal financial struggles amid the crisis, the Republic Act No. 11494 or also known as the Bayanihan To Recover as One Act was passed. It gained the approval of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
In compliance with the Bayanihan 2, Home Credit Philippines is offering a 60-day grace period on credit card bills. Clients who have bills to pay for purchases made before September 15, 2020 may avail the grace period.
According to the lending company, they will be sending offers to qualified clients regarding the 60-day grace period. Meanwhile, for those who wanted to continue paying, payments can still be done and interests can be avoided.
Aside from the grace period on credit card bills, the lending firm also offers grace period on existing loan accounts. It covers loan dues of qualified clients between September 15 to December 31.
