2026 REGULAR HOLIDAYS IN THE PHILIPPINES – Here is a guide for the Filipino people on the days when classes and work are suspended.
There is usually a long list of holidays in the Philippines annually. Undeniably, many Filipinos check them ahead so they can plot the most perfect time for their vacation. There are even instances when some individuals plot their paid leaves in between a holiday and a weekend.

With regards to holidays in the Philippines, they are usually divided among the regular holidays and the special non-working days which have some distinction. While there are still holidays left in the list of Philippine Holidays 2025, Malacañang already released the Proclamation No. 1006 that contained the 2026 regular holidays in the Philippines as well as the special non-working days.

Before proceeding on the list of 2026 regular holidays in the Philippines as well as the list of special non-working days next year, it is best to have a refresher first of what happens during these two (2) major types of holidays.
During a regular holiday, classes in schools in all levels are suspended. The same thing happens during a special non-working day. The main difference is with regards to the additional pay that working employees may get which you can check below.

During a regular holiday, employees who report to work gets an additional pay that is equivalent to 100% of his/her total basic salary for the first eight (8) hours of work. When the office or company does not operate during regular holidays, the employees won’t have to deal with salary deductions.
On the other side, during a special non-working day, an employee who reports to work gets an extra pay that is equivalent to 30% of his/her basic daily salary. Absent employees will have to face a “no work, no pay” rule.
