CHED SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS 2025 – Here are the documents that you must submit in vying to be a scholar of the Commission on Higher Education.
Undeniably, receiving an allowance from another entity while studying can really bring a huge relief — not just on the part of the students but as well as for the parents who are toiling day in and out so they can send their children to college.
Thus, the government, through the scholarship programs of the Commission on Higher Education or CHED, wants to help the parents of underprivileged but deserving students in the studies of their sons and daughters. One of its scholarship offer is the StuFAPs.
If you are ready to apply for the StuFAPs, there are only a few CHED scholarship requirements that you need to prepare before proceeding to the application process. It is important to prepare the following documents:
- Certified True Copy of the Birth Certificate
- duly-certified true copy of High school report card for incoming freshmen students eligible for college (High School Graduate); and
- duly-certified true copy of grades for Grade 11 and 1st semester of Grade 12 for graduating high school students.
- Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents or guardian;
- Certificate of Tax Exemption from Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR);
- Certificate of Indigence either from their Barangay or Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD);
- Case Study report from DSWD; or
- Latest copy of contract or proof of income may be considered for children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and seafarers.
It is also important to know that if you belong to any of the following, you need to upload or attach a valid certification proving your inclusion to your CHED scholarship requirements for application:
- Persons with Disability (PWD) under RA 7277
- Solo Parent and/or their dependents under RA 8972
- Underprivileged and homeless citizen under RA 7279
- Senior Citizen under RA 9994
- Indigenous People under RA 8371 CHED Priority Courses Effective Academic Year 2024-2024
