Megaworld To Give Multi-Million Condo Unit for Carlos Yulo after Olympics Gold Win
CARLOS YULO – Property developer Megaworld Corp. upgraded its reward for the Olympics double gold medalist after his second win.
The Filipinos rejoiced over the victory of Caloy in the 2024 Paris Olympics on Saturday. He stood out among the many representatives of the different nations in the floor exercise.
Carlos Yulo won gold in men’s floor exercise in the 2024 Olympics held in Paris, France after scoring 15.00. Even his fellows in the sports event were amazed by the clean and balanced performance of Caloy.
Congratulatory messages flooded for Caloy on social media. Philippine President Bongbong Marcos also congratulated Carlos Yulo following his Olympics gold medal win. The Chief Executive expressed his belief that it will not be the last gold medal that he will have.
On Sunday, it seems like the President’s words cannot wait for another day to unfold into reality. Caloy won his second Olympics gold medal after he was held the vault champion. He is the first Filipino to win two (2) Olympic gold medals.
Caloy also set the record as the first male athlete to bag an Olympic gold medal for the Philippines. The gymnast was in tears amid the disbelief on his double victories in the international sports games.
There are rewards that await Filipinos who will win the Olympics. As for Carlos Yulo, the rewards are double with his double Olympic gold medal victory. Megaworld initially pledged to give the gymnastics champ a two-bedroom condominium unit inside the McKinley Hill in Taguig City.
The worth of the initial pledge of Megaworld for Caloy was Php 24 million. After his second gold medal win, the popular property developer decided to upgrade the reward for Carlos Yulo into a three-bedroom condo unit that is worth P35 million.
Aside from the residential condo unit for the gymnastics champ, Megaworld also pledged to give Caloy a P3 million cash bonus for being the first Olympic double gold medalist in the Philippines.
There are several other rewards that await Caloy in the Philippines such as the following:
- Under the Republic Act 10699, an Olympic gold medalist will get Php 10 million cash reward
- an Olympic Gold Medal of Valor from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC)
- a house and lot from the Philippine Olympic Committee
- Php 6 million cash reward from the House of Representatives
- additional cash rewards from the fundraising campaign initiated by House Speaker Martin Romualdez
- lifetime free buffet on any of the branches of Vikings restaurant
