Guide on GSIS Emergency Loan 2025 Offer for Members in Calamity-Stricken Areas
GSIS CALAMITY LOAN 2025 – Members of the social insurance giant who are living in these areas may apply for the Emergency Loan offer until October.
Calamities are among those that do not exempt anyone. Even if you are place of residence is not in a flood-prone area, there may be an instance at least once in your lifetime when there will be a tropical storm while you are in another place for work. Strong heavy rains in the Philippines usually cause flooding.

With the Philippines being prone to natural disasters most especially storms that hit the country several times in a year, it is a wise move to ensure your qualification to calamity loans. One of the providers of this type of loan is the Government Service Insurance System or more popularly called GSIS.
The GSIS which is operating in the Philippines for several decades now actually has several benefit and loan offers for its members. While it has many GSIS benefits, it also has several loan offers which include the GSIS Emergency Loan or also called the GSIS Calamity Loan.

The GSIS Calamity Loan was crafted to ensure that the members have something to turn to in case their place of residence or work is left under a State of Calamity by a natural disaster. Here are the qualifications under the loan offer:
- a bona fide resident or employee of the government office within the declared calamity area
- in active service and not on leave of absence without pay
- has no arrearages in the payment of mandatory social insurance contributions
- with no loan that has been declared in default
