Sen. Tito Sotto Scholarship Program Wants To Help Underprivileged Students
TITO SOTTO SCHOLARSHIP – Here is a guide for aspiring scholars on how to apply for the scholarship program of the office of Senator Vicente Sotto III.
Undeniably, many Filipinos students in the Philippines are coming from financially-underprivileged families. In fact, there are a lot of Filipino youths who stopped schooling because of poverty but they really want to finish their studies for their and their family’s future.

In cases like this, the students who are coming from poor families have a few options including educational assistance and scholarship programs. Recently, one of the lawmakers in the Senate, Senate Minority Leader Tito Sotto, confirmed the scholarship program under his office.

Based on a report on Inquirer, Senate Minority Leader Tito Sotto showed to reporters through a Viber message a photo of himself holding a check with an amount that is over P471,000. According to the Senator, the said amount represents his salaries for July and August.

Senate Minority Leader Tito Sotto who promised during the 2025 Midterm Elections campaign period that he will use his salaries during his six-year term to help the Filipino people is starting to fulfill his vow to help poor students in their students. He made the confirmation to the reporters.
“As I promised during the campaign, I will give this to those who need financial assistance, particularly in the field of education, to help students who are struggling in life,” the Senate Minority Leader said.
According to his office, the Sen. Tito Sotto Scholarship Program is directly ran under his office. They did not opt to have it offered through a foundation. Thus, scholarship applications will be directly sent to the Senate Minority Leader’s offfice.
Senate Minority Leader Tito Sotto confirmed that his office has started screening the applications for education assistance for students. Currently, there are 18 applications to the Sen. Tito Sotto Scholarship Program and one (1) of which was already approved.
Based on the report, five (5) applicants for the Sen. Tito Sotto Scholarship Program are still on the screening process while 12 of them are in the process of completing the requirements. According to the Senator, the aspiring scholars should fill out the Scholarship Application Form.
