HOLIDAY PAY NOVEMBER 30 – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) released the guidelines for employers and employees on Bonifacio Day celebration.

Recently, Malacañang issued a Proclamation over the November holidays in the country. Through the Proclamation No. 727 signed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., November 30 was declared a regular holiday in observance of the Bonifacio Day. DOLE has released the guidelines on the holiday pay for November 30. The following holiday pay rules apply:
- A worker who reports to work is entitled to a holiday pay for November 30 that is equivalent to 100% of his/her basic wage for that day for the first eight hours of duty.
- For overtime work on a regular holiday, the employee is entitled to an additional pay equivalent to 30% of the hourly rate on the said day.
- If the holidays falls on the rest day of the employee and he/she reports to work, his/her holiday pay for November 30 should include an additional pay that is equivalent to 30% of the hourly rate on the said day.
