One of the government agencies that the people can turn to in times of calamities is Pag-IBIG Fund. It has a calamity loan offer for members who are working or living in areas that were declared under the State of Calamity.
With regards to the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan application, there is a period when eligible members may avail the offer. According to Pag-IBIG Fund, members who are qualified for the loan offer may avail it within ninety (90) days since the declaration of the State of Calamity by the Office of the President or the Sangguniang Bayan.

There are some documents that you must prepare in applying for this loan offer. For the documentary requirements, please refer to the list below:
- Duly-accomplished loan application form
- Photocopy of at least two (2) valid IDs
- Proof of Income
- Employed – Employer must accomplish the “Certificate of Monthly Net Income” portion at the back of the application form
- Self-Employed – Photocopy of Business / Mayor’s Permit, Commission Vouchers, and other valid proof of income documents.
The borrowed amount can be repaid for up to 24 months to give the borrowers ample time to repay the loan and to pave the way for lighter monthly installments. It is not only open for first-time borrowers or those who have no existing loans but as well as for those who have existing loans but with good records with the government agency.
