Update on PNB Banking Hours amid Banks Implementing Changes due to COVID-19 Rise
PNB BANKING HOURS – The Philippine National Bank (PNB) adjusted its operation schedule amid the COVID-19 cases surge in Metro Manila.
Metro Manila is currently facing a surge in their COVID-19 cases. Several cities in the capital region recorded higher daily cases following the holiday season wherein a lot of people went out for the Christmas and New Year preparations. The rise in the cases came with the threat of the spread of a new variant, the Omicron.
The Omicron was first detected in South Africa. It spread fast across the globe. It was reported to be a “heavily mutated” variant and the World Health Organization (WHO) warned countries about it.
Amid the rise in the COVID-19 cases in several cities in the country and the threats of the possible spread of the Omicron variant, the national government decided to place the whole Metro Manila under Alert Level 3.
The mayors in the capital region also decided to temporarily limit the mobility of the unvaxxed residents in their cities. The public and private establishments also have to abide by certain protocols.
In the case of banks, several banks in the country decided to adjust their operating schedule while Metro Manila is under Alert Level 3. One of those adjusted is the Philippine National Bank or PNB banking schedule.
Starting January 10, 2022, the PNB banking schedule is adjusted with its opening hours at 9:00 in the morning and closing hours at 3:00 in the afternoon. The bank also said that the clients may utilize their online app.
Metro Manila is set under Alert Level 3 until January 15, 2022. According to the Palace and the Department of Health (DOH), there is a possibility that it may be placed under Alert Level 4 in case the cases continue to grow.
