Update on Requirements for Restaurant Customers Dine-In in NCR
Restaurant customers in the National Capital Region (NCR) who have no vaccine cards will not be allowed to dine-in services.
Undeniably, situations in the Philippines are still unstable due to the ongoing fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The whole country is still under community quarantine measures in a continuous effort to stop the spread of the virus.
Many businesses in the country had no choice but to shut down as they were not able to cope with the demands of the pandemic. There are weeks if not months of having no operation in accordance with the protocols for the safety of the people.
Food businesses are known to be among the best business ventures considering that food is a basic need. However, amid the pandemic, many food businesses had to close. No one is really exempted from the impacts of the current situation.
Metro Manila was previously placed again under the strictest level of quarantine measure, the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ). It lasted for two (2) weeks before the measure was downgraded to Modified ECQ.
Currently, the whole National Capital Region (NCR) is under granular or localized lockdowns. Amid the new measure, based on a report on GMA News, the Restaurant Owners of the Philippines (Resto PH) made a decision regarding dine-in services.
According to the report, restaurant customers who have no vaccine cards will not be allowed to dine-in services in NCR food establishments. It is amid the implementation of the Alert Level 4 in NCR. Under the said measure, al fresco or outdoor dining services can operate at a maximum of 30% of the seating capacity of the place.
With regards to the dine-in services, it must be limited to 10% of the seating capacity for restaurant customers. Only those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 may be accommodated for dine-in.

These is ridiculous, it’s DISCRIMINATION. We are all Filipino, we are leaving in a democratic country, we are free to make our own decisions and rights. So sad that even us are on the same race will discriminate each one another. You may just subdivide some places for those vaccinated to non ones that might be fair enough, but doing these now that only allowing those who are only Vaccinated Peps to dine in is not MAKATAO.
