JOLLIBEE – The popular fast-food chain is extending its 10% discount offer for customers who are vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Philippines is still in a battle against the COVID-19 pandemic now. The country has yet to achieve population protection which requires at least 70 million people to be vaccinated against coronavirus.

Truth be told that the available jabs are still not enough and many Filipinos are still hesitant to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Many people are worried about the side effects – amid continued encouragement that that getting vaccinated helps prevent severe cases.

Different brands of vaccines including Pfizer, Moderna, Sinovac, Sinopharm, Sputnik V, and Janssen have arrived in the country. The vaccination program listed the healthcare workers who are the frontliners in the fight as the top priority.

The senior citizens and those individuals who have co-morbidities are also prioritized in the COVID-19 vaccination. The vaccination continues even amid strict lockdown measures that were previously implemented in the whole Metro Manila.

Several private companies also help encourage people to get vaccinated. One of these is Jollibee. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, it is one of the over 150 restaurants in the National Capital Region (NCR) that support Ingat Angat’s Smart Bakuna Benefits program.

Jollibee extended its 10% discount offer for customers who are vaccinated against COVID-19 until November 30. According to the fast-food chain, vaccinated customers will only have to present their vaccine card and government ID to avail of the discount. There is no limit to the number of times you can enjoy a 10% discount.

According to the report, as of September 15, at least 17.7 million Filipinos have been vaccinated against COVID-19. The country is targeting the vaccination of at least 80% of the people to achieve population protection against the virus.
