The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the operation not only of the small businesses across the globe but even the biggest companies. Even those considered as “giants” in the business field had to temporarily stop physical operations amid the threat of the virus.
Meanwhile, in most giant companies, they have come up with ways on how to cope with the demands of the pandemic. Many of them boosted their service offers in their online platforms to continue reaching their clients. They continued their online operations amid having no choice but to temporarily stop their physical operations in some areas.
One of these giant companies that decided to temporarily stop their physical operation in some areas is Apple Inc.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Apple Inc. temporarily closed all of its seven (7) retail stores in New York City. The decision was prompted by the increase in the cases of COVID-19 in the United States.
According to the report, prior to closing all its seven (7) retail stores in New York, the technology company had closed three stores in the United States and Canada due to the spike of the COVID-19 cases and exposures among the workers in the retail stores.
Apple Inc. also ordered its employees and customers to wear face masks at the retail stores. Currently, all retail stores of the company in New York including the outlets in Soho, Fifth Avenue, and Grand Central are temporarily closed but customers can pick up the orders they made online at the stores.
