  • employer must be updated in the payment of the SSS contributions

  • 65 years old and below at the time of the loan application
  • has not been disqualified due to fraud committed against the SSS

The Social Security System (SSS) offers a Housing Loan program that is designed to help the members finance home improvement and repair projects.   • borrower and spouse is updated in the payment of their other SSS loan(s)

SSS Calamity Loan

During times of natural disaster, members of the SSS who are living in affected areas may avail themselves of the SSS Calamity Loan program. This special loan was crafted to provide financial relief to qualified members as they recover and rebuild. To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • residing in an area declared under a State of Calamity by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC)
  • registered on the My.SSS portal
  • has posted at least 36 monthly contributions
  • has not availed of final benefits
  • has no outstanding balance in CLAP or the SSS Loan Restructuring Program (LRP)
