ECC CASH ASSISTANCE – Here is a list of who are qualified to avail the cash aid offer of the Employee’s Compensation Commission.
One of the common scenarios are employees getting injured at their workplace or in the line of their duties. Almost each job entails with it a list of risks and some of these risks are physical in nature.
Another common case is employees getting sick due to a situation in the line of their duty. There are also some individuals who lost their lives as they were in the pursuit to perform their job and do their responsibilities.
Some individuals who got sick, injured, or died may be assisted financially by the Employee’s Compensation Commission or more commonly called ECC. There is an ECC Cash Assistance which has a coverage that includes a lot of people from different walks of life.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the following are the individuals who can apply for the ECC Cash Assistance after getting injured or sick in the line of their duties:
- government workers
- household helpers
- sea-based overseas Filipino workers (OFWs)
Self-employed individuals may also qualify to the ECC Cash Assistance offer. Furthermore, families of a person who died in the line of duty may also avail the aid.
Based on the report, private sector employees may claim up to P480 pesos daily in sickness benefit while government employees may claim up to P200 daily in the same benefit. You may avail the cash assistance through you MySS account or a GSIS branch depending on which you are a member of.
