In the Philippines, there are entities that provide calamity loans for their members. One of them is the Social Security System or more popularly called SSS. It is actually one of the giants in the country in terms of social insurance.
The SSS Calamity Loan is one of the three (3) major SSS loans offered for the members of the state-run social insurance institution. - has not been granted any final SSS benefit nor was refunded SSS contributions
- must be up-to-date in the payment of all other existing loans with the SSS

Steps for SSS Calamity Loan Online Application
- Step 1 — Log in to your My.SSS account.
- Step 2 — On your dashboard, click E-Services.
- Step 3 — Read the pop-up reminder and tick the box if you agree and click the Proceed button.
- Step 4 — At the Disbursement Account Enrollment Module page, enroll the bank account where you wish the loan proceeds to be released through. Make sure that your bank is PESONet-accredited.
- Step 5 — Under the Enrollment tab, provide your bank account details and attach the supporting documents, such as proof of account, ID, and selfie/photo.
- Step 6 — Once you’ve registered your bank account, it will appear under the Disbursement Account tab.
- Step 7 — Once your bank account is active, click the E-Services to apply for a loan.
- Step 8 — Click/Tap Apply for Calamity Loan.
- Step 9 — Provide the required information. Tick the box, then click the Proceed button.
- Step 10 — Check the outline of your application. Click Submit. Wait for the notification regarding your loan application in your My.SSS inbox.
