SSS Salary Loan

The most flexible among the SSS loans is the Salary Loan or also known as the cash loan. It can be used for a variety of needs — funding your travel, making personal purchases, covering car repairs, etc. To qualify, you’ll need to meet the following requirements:

  • currently employed, self-employed, or voluntary member of the Social Security System
  • must have posted at least 36 monthly contributions in the SSS account
  • employer must be updated in the payment of the SSS contributions
  • has not received any final benefit from the SSS
  • 65 years old and below at the time of the loan application
  • has not been disqualified due to fraud committed against the SSS

SSS Housing Loan

The SSS Housing Loan offer is available to finance home improvements and repair projects. It covers projects such as completing an occupied bare house, extending or expanding an existing unit, and upgrading its economic and aesthetic value. Member-borrowers who are interested for the offer Applicants must meet the following qualifications to be eligible for the loan:

  • member must have posted at least 36 monthly contributions with 24 continuous contributions prior to the application
  • not more than 60 years old at the time of application
  • not previously granted a repair and/or improvement loan by the SSS or NHMFC
  • not been granted final SSS benefits
  • borrower and spouse is updated in the payment of their other SSS loan(s)

SSS Calamity Loan

In the event of a natural disaster which is unfortunately common in the Philippines, SSS members living in affected areas may avail of the SSS Calamity Loan. The eligibility requires meeting the following qualifications:

  • residing in an area declared under a State of Calamity by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC)
  • registered on the My.SSS portal
  • has posted at least 36 monthly contributions
  • has not availed of final benefits
  • has no outstanding balance in CLAP or the SSS Loan Restructuring Program (LRP)
