Guide on GSIS Emergency Loan Program Loanable Amount
GSIS EMERGENCY LOAN PROGRAM – Here is a guide on how much a member or pensioner affected by the typhoon may borrow under this Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) program.
A lot of people are struggling now due to the impacts of the recent typhoons that hit the Philippines. Typhoons Rolly and Ulysses bring massive rains in the different areas in the country triggering flood.
Many residents in Marikina City had to climb their rooftops to get away from the rising water level due to Ulysses. The water reached even the second floor of some houses.
The same scenario took place in Rizal as residents try to evade the increasing water level amid the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses. In Catanduanes, the said tropical storm triggered landslide and flooding.
Another province, Cagayan, also suffered a lot from Typhoon Ulysses. Residents go up to their rooftops. Unfortunately, the impacts included deaths.
To help ease the burden of the members and pensioners affected by the typhoons, the Government Service Insurance System offers a GSIS Emergency Loan Program.
Based on a report on CNN, GSIS President and General Manager Rolando Ledesma Macasaet said that members and pensioners affected by the typhoon may borrow Php 20,000.00 under the GSIS Emergency Loan Program.
The members and pensioners may repay the loan for up to 36 months. To be eligible, the borrower must:
- be in active service
- not be on a leave of absence without pay
- having no pending administrative case
- having a net take-home pay of not lower than Php 5,000.00 after all required monthly responsibilities were deducted
According to the GSIS President, members who are not qualified to the emergency loan may apply for the multi-purpose loan offer. Feel free to visit – GSIS New Loan “Multipurpose Loan” Replaces Enhanced Conso-Loan Plus.
