In applying for a job, most employers have a set of requirements for the hired applicants before the employment officially starts. One of these documents is the NBI Clearance which is issued by the National Bureau of Investigation, more popularly called the NBI.
The NBI Clearance is a document that certifies that you have not been involved in any criminal activity. Aside from employment, it is often asked in applying for the permits needed for business operation, opening a bank account, applying for an opportunity abroad, etc.
Before, you need to go through the long queues in NBI offices before you can get a Clearance. Now, you can for the NBI Online Registration for a more convenient way of getting the document needed.
To go for an NBI online registration, there are documents that you need to prepare. Here are the NBI clearance requirements for application:
- For first-time job seekers, you only have to prepare a Barangay Certificate as a proof of identity.
- To request an NBI Clearance for multi-purposes, present at least two (2) of your valid IDs
Here are the steps for the NBI Online Registration to request a clearance:
- Step 1 — Go to the registration website of the National Bureau of Investigation (https://firsttimejobseekers.nbi.gov.ph/ or https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/).
- Step 2 — Read the Terms of Services and tick the box if you agree with them to proceed. Click “Sign Up”.
- Step 3 — Provide the necessary information asked in the registration form.
- Step 4 — Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the mobile number you provided to complete your NBI online registration.
- Step 5 — Fill in the additional information requested in the Application Form.
- Step 6 — Choose the ID that you wish to present on your visit to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) office. Click “I Agree” to proceed with the appointment schedule.
- Step 7 — Pick a schedule on when you want to go to an NBI branch for the processing of your request.
- Step 8 — Pay for the NBI Clearance fee based on your preferred mode. You can make the payment through a bank, a Bayad Center outlet, a Bayad Center mobile app, ECPay, 7-Eleven, or online banking.
- Step 9 — Go to the NBI office on your appointment schedule. Bring two (2) valid IDs.
