Guide on PhilHealth Monthly Contribution 2021 for Members Who Are Self-Employed
PHILHEALTH MONTHLY CONTRIBUTION 2021 – Here is a guide on the new contribution rate for self-employed members of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
A lot of people are members of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth). Every month or quarter, members remit a certain amount to the state-run institution for an active account.
PhilHealth members with active accounts may be eligible for the benefits offered by the institution. These benefits include financial assistance over hospitalization.
Undeniably, the fact that many people are relying to their PhilHealth savings in times of medical emergencies, many were alarmed when corruption issues surrounding the agency crossed the surface.
These issues are among the reasons why many people are not in favor of the increase that PhilHealth is set to implement on the monthly contribution starting this month.
The agency is set to raise the contribution from 3% to 3.5% this year 2021. For the self-employed members of the institution, the following are the PhilHealth monthly contribution 2021 based on the income of the member:
