- 18 years old and above upon the filing of claim but not over 60 years old
- with at least 36 monthly contributions posted
- not received any other SSS benefit
- no unsettled SSS Unemployment Benefit within the last three (3) years before the date of the current unemployment started
With regards to the amount of the SSS Unemployment Benefit claim, according to the Social Security System, it is equal to 50% of your average monthly salary credits (AMSC). A member may be granted up to twice of the said amount.
For example, if your SSS Unemployment Benefit claim amount is Php 10,000, you may get Php 5,000 under the unemployment claim or up to Php 20,000 for a two-month claim.
