Processing of SSS Business Wage Subsidy Done & Set for 2nd Tranche
SSS BUSINESS WAGE SUBSIDY – The Social Security System (SSS) is done processing the applications and is ready for the 2nd tranche.
A lot of people are facing financial struggles now due to the COVID-19 crisis in the Philippines. Many Filipinos lost their monthly income most especially those who are under a no-work-no-pay scheme.
During the widespread implementation of community quarantines, several businesses temporarily stopped their operation. Most of these are non-essential firms like shoes seller, beauty products company, malls (department stores), etc.
For the essential businesses which were allowed to continue the operation, they operate under a skeletal system. Everyone is advised to stay at home to prevent the spread of the disease.
Amid the COVID-19 crisis in the Philippines, the government and the public agencies extended some cash assistance to the public. One of it is done through the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) which as handled by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The Social Security System (SSS) also organized offers to help its member. It launched the SSS Business Wage Subsidy to help the employee-members and as well as small businesses who cannot fully support their employees amid the crisis.
Previously, the SSS suspended its other online services to give way for the application for the said subsidy. Employers had to submit details of their employees for the processing.
Based on an article on Bombo Radyo Bacolod, the Bacolod-branch of the social insurance institution said that they are already done processing the SSS Business Wage Subsidy. They are also set for the 2nd tranche.
According to the article, they have already given the 1st tranche and the payroll is until May 15. With regards to the 2nd tranche, they are already preparing for it and the payroll will start on May 16.
The SSS clarified that the beneficiaries are middle class earners. It cited that the lower class were the target of the SAP and the CARP.

We haven’t had any support on this government program. Because of they say that we no work but with pay 80% of our daily rate.. It is good enough for us to not apply in this kind of benefits coming from the government? Tnx.
