Guide on DOST Scholarship Application for Undergraduate Courses
DOST SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION – Here is a guide on who are qualified to apply as scholar to the Department of Science and Technology.
Nowadays, there are several options that you can turn to if you really want to finish your studies but your parents or guardians cannot afford to send you to college. Among these are the scholarship offers of the different government agencies and the private sector.
One of the government agency that offers scholarship is the Department of Science and Technology. More commonly called DOST, the government agency offers the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship for students who want to pursue college.
To be qualified for the DOST Scholarship application, the student-applicant must be:
- a natural born Filipino citizen
- of good moral character
- in good health
- having no any post-secondary (college or vocational) units
A. Graduating Grade 12 male and female students in SY 2022-2023:
- STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
- NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the graduating class, if belonging to the Non-STEM strand
B. Graduate of Grade 12 before SY 2022-2023 and did not enroll in college yet:
- STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
- NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the graduating class, if belonging to the Non-STEM strand
C. Graduate of high school before the K-12 Program. Must belong to the top 5% of the graduating class.
D. Must have grades in Grades 9, 10, and 11.
- The scores in the Philippine Education Placement Test Certificate of Rating is acceptable if you skip a grade.
Those who have previously taken the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Exam but did not qualify for the scholarship offer may apply again. Those who took the exam and qualified but did not avail the scholarship may also re-apply.
