Guide on BPI Medical Scholarship Cash Benefit Offer for Scholars
BPI MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIP CASH BENEFIT – Here is a guide on how much a scholar of the Foundation will get annually.
Medical courses are among the most expensive courses tot take in the Philippines. On the other side, these are the courses that earn big when you work in other countries that is why a lot of people take a medical course and go abroad. There are also a lot of calls in the country to increase the salaries of nurses.
A lot of people finished their medical courses with the help of a scholarship offer. Amid the pandemic, the BPI Medical Foundation launched a program that aims to sponsor the beneficiaries of healthcare frontliners who died amid the fight against the pandemic. The scholars will be financially assisted in taking medical courses.
Who are qualified to apply for the scholarship offer of the BPI Medical Foundation? To qualify for the scholarship application, the student applicant must be the qualified next kin of a medical front liner (doctor, nurse, medical technologist, community health worker, and administrative, utility, and support services personnel in health care facilities) who died in the line of duty amid the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
In case the deceased is married, the beneficiary will be the children. If the frontliner who passed away died single, the beneficiary can be next of kin up to 3rd degree of consanguinity.
With regards to the BPI Medical Scholarship cash benefit, each scholar will get P100,000 per year as scholarship assistance from the Foundation. It will be directly forwarded to the partner institution of the Foundation where the scholar is enrolled.
As per the guide, the BPI Medical Scholarship cash benefit only covers school expenses for the regular school year. The benefactor will not reimburse expenses from the summer term unless it is required by the school curriculum under the course taken.
To apply, there are requirements for BPI Medical Scholarship application that you must prepare and submit through the partner school of the Foundation.
