GCASH – The operators of the app released a statement regarding the failed transactions during its recent downtime.

Nowadays, there are a lot of apps that offer services like those that bank account holders may enjoy. If you have an amount in your account in the app, you can use it in money transfers, in buying load, booking movies, making payments for online purchases, and a lot more.

One of the apps that is popular in the Philippines is GCash which is operated by Mint, Globe Telecom, Inc.’s corporate incubator. It is also known as Globe Fintech Innovations, Inc. A lot of people have accounts in the said app.

If you have an account and you want to use it mainly like a savings account where you can deposit and withdraw money from, you may purchase or order a card. You can buy it at Ministop, Robinsons Business Centers, All Day, Lawson, and selected branches of 7-Eleven.

You must link your card with your account in the app. You can use it in paying for your purchases, in withdrawing an amount, in purchasing tickets, etc.

However, like other platforms, technical problems and downtimes also happen in apps like GCash. Recently, it has a downtime that many were possibly affected considering that many people have account in the said app now. The downtime started Monday afternoon and the services were back on Monday evening.

The operator of GCash released a statement. Based on a report on GMA News, Mynt assured that all failed transactions during the downtime of the app will be processed within 48 hours.

Furthermore, Mynt assured that no funds were affected by the recent downtime of the app. Users are suggested to restart their mobile phones before opening the app again.
