Update on the Prices of Pork Meat in Some Public Markets in PH
PRICES OF PORK MEAT – The costs of pork products reportedly dropped in some public markets in the Philippines due to good supply.
Many Filipino families are financially challenged due to the high costs of some basic goods and commodities in the country. There are several calls to drop the prices of rice, flour, and sugar per kilo among other products that are usually needed by people.
Some households expressed their sentiment that they can hardly make their usual monthly budget fit for the whole family in a month because of the high costs of some products. Every price drop is a good news to both the earner and the budget manager in the family.
Recently, a good news crossed the surface. The prices of pork meat have dropped in some public markets in the country.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, in Marikina public market, the prices of pork meat dropped from the previous price of P340 per kilo to between P270 to P275 per kilo. There are still some vendors who sell pork at P280 per kilo but there are only a few of them.
According to the report, the price of liempo also dropped following the reduced cost of pork meat in public markets. From the previous price of P360 per kilo, you may now buy a liempo for P300 per kilo. The vendors of pork meat said that the sufficient supply of pork meat is the reason why the costs reduced. Another reason is the recent rollback in the prices of oil products in the country.
Several products previously got increased prices because of the high costs of oil in the country. Among these products are vegetables. Some vendors cited the increased costs of transporting the vegetables.
