LANDBANK OFW LOAN – Here is a guide on who are eligible to apply for the loan offer of the Landbank of the Philippines for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
Most banks now do not only offer savings and deposit accounts but as well as credit cards, loans, and investment products. One of these banks is the Landbank of the Philippines which is the top government bank in the country.
More commonly called as Landbank, this government bank does not only have loan offers for the employees of the public sector but as well as for the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
The Landbank OFW Loan under the “Reintegration Program” aims to help OFWs push through with their target businesses in the country. A business can be an alternative employment to an OFW.
According to Landbank, the said loan offer for the OFWs is open for the purpose of obtaining a working capital for a business and funding an acquisition of an asset.
Like the other loans, there are eligibility requirements in applying for the Landbank OFW Loan offer. To be eligible to apply for it, the applicant must be:
- an OFW certified by a membership to Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA)
- an attendee of capacity building program
According to the bank, the said Landbank OFW Loan offer is open but not limited to franchising business, agricultural and non-agricultural production and marketing, construction, trading, rental, service, and transportation.
The minimum loan term set by Landbank is one (1) year. The maximum loan term is seven (7) years including the two-year grace period. To apply, you may visit the nearest Landbank branch to you.
