A lot of businesses closed amid the pandemic. Many companies were not able to withstand the demands of the pandemic. They only incurred expenses with no income for several months.
Following the closure of several businesses, many people lost their jobs. Some of them have loans and credit card bills to pay.
One of the mandate of the Bayanihan 2 is a grace period on payments. UnionBank Philippines is one of those banks that were quick to issue announcements over their compliance to the new law.
UnionBank is not offering a grace period on loans. The UnionBank credit card bills that fall between September 15 and November 14 are also qualified for the grace period.
With regards to those who pay through the Auto Debit Arrangement, the bank will continue to deduct your payment from your account. If you want to avail the grace period, you may message the bank at [email protected] with the subject “Bayanihan-ADA Credit Card” on or before October 9, 2020.
