HUAWEI – The Chinese multinational technology company launched a new operating system, HarmonyOS, for mobiles phones and other gadgets.

There are a lot of technology companies across the globe. These are the giants behind the enormous advancement in the field now bringing several types of gadgets that make people and people’s lives easier.

One of the biggest technology companies in the Philippines is Huawei. It is mainly known for its mobile phones but it also got other devices or gadgets such as laptops, smartwatches, and gadgets. While it has its own story of success, the company also faced a lot of challenges.

The United States has previously sanctioned it due to national security concerns in 2019 and it greatly affected its operation. Now, the Chinese technology company is on the move for higher things.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Huawei is launching a new operating system, the HarmonyOS, which can operate and connect not only mobile phones but as well as laptops, tablets, and smartwatches. That is why it is tagged as the “Internet-of-Things” platform.

According to the report, Huawei unveiled several new products that uses HarmonyOS including a smart watch with stylus and a tablet during a video launch event held in Shenzhen. This new milestone indicates that the Chinese tech will not anymore be fully dependent on Android.

Meanwhile, amid a new operating system, users of Huawei products have the freedom to switch between HarmonyOS and their current OS. The company targets to have the said OS on 200 million smartphones and 100 million third-party smart devices.

The launching of the company ended with P50 flagship phone that sparked excitement to a lot of people. There are also speculations that two (2) older high-end models of the brand will be released again.
