RESTAURANT IN BACOLOD CITY – The Thirdwave Restaurant is offering an in-car dining to their customers amid the COVID-19 pandemic crisis now.

Several businesses were shut down by the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of these are restaurants, internet shops, clothing stores, and others that offer non-essential products. Most of them were unable to meet the demands of the pandemic which brought week-long if not month-long operations with no income.

Undeniably, the COVID-19 pandemic brought a crisis that affected most households in the country. Many breadwinners lost their source of income as the companies they’re working for closed due to the pandemic. Everyone is facing a different kind of struggle amid this crisis.

Based on an report on ABS-CBN News, Thirdwave Restaurant owner Laverne Traifalgar expressed that they understand the risk in dining in in restaurants that is why they considered the concept of offering an in-car dining to their customers.

If you want to eat in this restaurant in Bacolod City, you must park your car and the restaurant crew will get the order. An improvised customized table will be put inside the car and it is where the food orders will be placed so you can eat comfortably without getting exposed to the public.

Based on the report, Traifalgar expressed that they need to adapt in the pandemic so their business will survive. She and her husband previously worked in a cruise ship but they were not able to return to work due to the pandemic.

Aside from the in-car dining, the Thirdwave Restaurant is one of the restaurants in the city that accepted the “Wala Usik Economy”. Instead of using plastic wares for the food, they use leaves and they let their customers borrow their cups. Instead of plastic straws, they got stainless straws.
