Netflix Speaks on Project w/ Microsoft
NETFLIX – The American streaming company will partner with computer giant firm Microsoft to provide more affordable streaming plans.
The advanced technology has hooked a lot of people to watch movies, television and digital series, and live streams of shows, programs, gaming events, and a lot more. There are different platforms where you can get to watch these virtual offers.
When it comes to streaming platforms or perfect venues for movies, one of the most popular is Netflix. In fact, many people across the globe have their subscriptions to this streaming platform and it is where they usually turn for entertainment.
It was in 1997 when the American streaming service company that produced the platform was launched. It continued operating for years and kept on inviting more and more subscribers.
However, based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, the company recently felt a disappointing drop in the number of their subscribers. The streaming platform lost 200,000 subscribers across the globe. The American streaming company immediately decided to find ways to invite people – through more affordable subscription offers.
According to the report, Netflix will be working with Microsoft, one of the giants when it comes to software and computers, to come up with lower-cost offers. It is planning to come up with ad-supported subscriptions. The streaming company has been resisting the idea of ads for years.
Reportedly, the ad-supported subscription will be one of the three (3) offers that people can choose from in subscribing. The cheapest offer is $10 per month in the United States.
Aside from boosting its offers by providing a cheaper option, the streaming company also plans to tighten the access on the platform to prevent people from sharing logins and passwords so others can have access even without paying for a subscription.
