Details about the Globe Net Income from January-June 2022
GLOBE NET INCOME – Giant telco company Globe revealed its income from January to June 2022 and some specific digits.
In the Philippines, there are a few giant companies when it comes to providing telecommunication services. These are among the companies that were expected to be least affected amid the pandemic. Internet connection demands increased when students turned to home-schooling and several companies adopted the work-from-home setup.
There were undeniably months when a lot of people were in a queue to have their internet connection installed. The change to a new normal became a challenge for telcos.
One of the giant telecommunication companies in the Philippines is Globe Telecom. From time to time, the telco company reveals its income.
Recently, the Globe net income from January to June 2022 was revealed. Based on an article on ABS-CBN News, the telco giant’s net income reached P19.7 billion for the first half of the year.
The service revenues in the first and second quarters of the year hit P78.9 billion and P39.7 billion respectively based on the data presented by the telco giant to the stock exchange. Amid the high Globe net income for the first half of the year, the mobile revenues of the telco giant hit P27.2 billion from April to June.
According to the telco company, its total mobile consumer base has reached 87.4 million. The home broadband revenues dropped from P14.5 billion to P13.8 billion from January to June 2022. Based on the article, the firm said that the dipping in the home broadband revenues is due to their clients migrating to fiber. The company offered free migration services to its clients.
The fiber revenues of the giant telco grew by 102 percent while the subscriber revenues were up by 135 percent. More than 1 million FTTH lines were installed by the telco giant.
